About us
Our Organisation has been officially designated by the French government as being of public interest to combat exclusion. Our name in French translates as “Action to Forge Social Ties and Citizenship”. Our Organisation helps people in difficulty. Our mission is to protect the most vulnerable, helping them to find accommodation and supporting their integration, mainly in Alpes-Maritimes and Var (two French departments in the south of France). We help children and teens, mothers and babies, women and men, people who have been alienated or are in danger, migrants, victims of human trafficking and women and children suffering from violence and the homeless.
Our missions
ALC is on the front line of social emergency in Alpes-Maritimes. We man the homeless hotline 115, and find shelter for callers. We house and support children in danger, either in our shelters or with their family.
We support social and professional integration for all. Our goal is to help people in difficulty to access accommodation, healthcare, training and jobs, and empower them as fully-fledged citizens.
